The game is rated T for teen. It is rated so for animated blood, and fantisy violence. Surprised? Not me.
TP has often been called a darker, more mature zelda. It's no surprise, of course, for Nintendo to take a small step in ratings. All prior Zelda games were rated E for Everyone, lacking any blood and only slight violence to be spoken of.
Now, with Wii being the new unofficial home for Zelda, T sounds so much more appealing to us avid ninty followers!

I don't know why that would be appealing, but I never cared about ratings anyway. Melee's rated T, and I've played it since I was like 10. I was playing Metal Gear even before that (M).

Zelda has never been a dark series, so this game having the rating (plus obvious signs in the game itself) is kind of appealing. I like serious games.

Zelda has always had a little bit of dark in it (compared to Mario, at least).
But, yes, this is a much better and more appealing level of darkness.
P.S. I changed my sig!

you changed your sig to something broken. Awsome, man.
Mario is rated what it is for alot less violence and some comic mischeif. Zelda is rated for fantasy violence and animated blood.

What the heck are you talking about? Read my post over. It says animated blood, not suggestive themes. ((Hehe, I changed it. Thanks for the heads up TL!))

Suggestive themes?!?!? Anju and Kafei are..... never mind. Just kidding.
Hey CW, remember "Nintendo RPG: the End of the World"?
That was funny stuff.

No offence... but I don't think many care about the rating of Twilight Princess. It's not too bad, it's not really dark either though. The Twilight World is the exact same as the Golden Age from ALTTP if you think about it. It's really already been done if you use your head properly for most aspects.
Meh...

The rules here are different than other places you might have traveled, slyder. Chances are that negativeness will get you bad press here.

Coach Wii, I meant that in a sorta playful way. I mean, just by looking at the Adverts on the Television for it, you know its not an E game anymore. It's a superb game though, so I amn't being as negative as judged.

Actually, while this topic is up, I saw something for TP in Nintendo power, and it had E-10+
It's a step above E, but it's no T.... CW, help?

I look at my official box, and it says T. Magazines have errors, I know this for certain.

Yah but alot of parent's might have a different approach they might just look at the ERSB rating on the front and telll the kids they can't get it. But my parent's haven't bothered to look at the rating.

God, the rating isn't even that big a deal. I got 15, 16 and 18 game's, that doesn't mean my parents won't go out and buy it for me.
The Rating on my box is also T, but it's not really a big deal. And before anyone say's this isn't the appropiate attitude to take toward's a reply, it's just an opinion.
